WJZZ Smooth Jazz 107.5 between 3:00pm and 7:00pm today (or any day!) for the Rene Miller show. She has to have the best voice in radio. I will be her guest on today’s show for a short interview. Follow the above link to listen via the net. I have been on the radio many times before. I’ve had training as an actress, done a bit of voiceover work, and have spoken professionally for years. I’ve never worried about how my voice sounded in person, on television, or on tape. Usually, I am pleasantly surprised that it sounds better than it did in my head. My voice is a tool and it serves me well. But when my voice is matched up against a professional like Rene who truly has a smooth, rich, luscious, voice all of a sudden I began to feel like Squeaky from the Laverne and Shirley show. I found myself glazing over listening to her only to realize her lips stopped moving and I was supposed to be answering the question. I just wanted to listen to her talk, which is fine over lunch but not so good on the radio. But in the end, the interview went really well. I loved meeting Rene and I consider her a new friend. I’ll be tuning in this afternoon to hear Rene again. If you tune in, don’t tell me. ~Jennifer Ed.
