Well, at least six of them. In anticipation of our next book, Nine Ways God Always Speaks coming out April 1st. (No joke!) I am updating the sixprayers.com website. While doing a little research I found out something I didn’t know–Six Prayers is available in eBook format . If you own a Sony Reader you can download Six Prayers for less than the cost of the hardback.            Of course, it’s been available on the Kindle for months.  If you don’t already have one, Amazon just announced the Kindle 2.0 with even more memory, which means it’s a great time to add more books! ~Jennifer  

Dear Blog – I am sorry that I have not given you the attention you deserve.  I know that I’ve been away since last November and while there are lots of reasons why (holidays, work, and travel to name a few), there is really only one excuse.  I am cheating on you. Yes, we used to spend the free minutes we had together. I’d write down my thoughts and occasionally you would provide me with a comment or two. But ever since I started flirting with Facebook a couple of years ago, I’ve found her face more appealing than yours. The graphics and ability to relationally connect with so many people makes my time there more rewarding. When I share my thoughts with Facebook, the comments come faster and more succinctly. I can respond and have a virtual conversation even if it isn’t all on the same wall.                  I do import your messages from here to my page on Facebook, but here’s the thing: there are more people reading Facebook notes than reading your messages here. So when I have a few minutes, I’m sorry to say, I spend more time with Facebook then with you. As long as I am clearing the air between us, I have to say that Facebook isn’t my only distraction. I have a hot new honey that goes with me places even Facebook doesn’t easily go–namely my phone. Yes, his name is Twitter and in 140 characters or less I can not only find out the latest in tech geek news but I can find out what my friends are thinking about. Twitter provides me with trivial information such as what the CEO of a major company in my industry had for lunch but it also tells me what he thinks are the future trends for the industry. You never provide me with this kind of insight. Let’s face it, when I compare you to Twitter you’re fat, slow, and old. You don’t create community or further relationships in the same way that my new friends do. It’s easy to find me on Facebook or Twitter . And with Twitter they don’t even have to commit to a membership they can just text “follow schuchmann” to 40404 and receive my updates on their mobile phone as text messages. See how easy the others make it? But I want you to know it’s not over between us. I plan to visit you more regularly than I have in the past few months. In fact, I’ve been trying to think of some special activities that just you and I can do together.  Hang in their dear Blog. I promise I will have some excitement coming to your page very soon. I may be cheating on you, but you’ll always be the first. ~Jennifer   

Look who earned their varsity letter in Cross Country. The Jman got his varsity letter from Coach Rein at the banquet today.           And he’s only in eighth grade!  Obviously, he doesn’t take after his mother. I am so proud of you son! ~Mom

The Women in Christian Media dinner event is this Thursday in Nashville. If you’re interested in attending, you still have time to register.                       Media is defined very loosely to include all forms of mass communication, TV, radio, Internet, publishing, publicity, film, music, church media department, ministry, and yelling at more than one child at a time. However, the term “women” is not defined loosely. If you’re a guy, even if you’re wearing a skirt and heels (or especially if you’re wearing a skirt and heels), this event isn’t for you.
