Nine Ways God Always Speaks

Mark Herringshaw & Jennifer Schuchmann

Whether Christian or not, many people have unusual experiences, conditions, or encounters that have left them wondering, Is God trying to tell me something? The truth is, God does communicate with us all the time. We just need to learn how to hear his voice. Using stories and examples from people throughout history and today, Herringshaw and Schuchmann show readers how they can better tune in to God’s voice—everywhere and every day.

From the Back Cover:

“I’ve never told anyone this before . . .”

“You’re going to think I’m crazy, but . . .”

“I know this sounds insane . . .”

That’s how many of the stories in this book started out.

People had unusual experiences, coincidences, and random encounters, and they dared to ask if those might somehow be communications from God.

Throughout history, thousands of people have claimed to hear directly from God. Moses. Joan of Arc. That guy on the interstate holding up a sign proclaiming “The End Is Near.”

Some are revered as heroes. Others are written off as lunatics.

But did they actually hear from God?

And if the Creator of the universe were trying to talk to you right now, would you hear him?

In Nine Ways God Always Speaks, Mark Herringshaw and Jennifer Schuchmann want you to know that you’re not crazy for trying to make sense of God’s communications with you—in fact, he wants you to do more of it.

Whether you’ve never heard from God, are afraid to admit that you’ve heard from God, or wish you could have some two-way communication with him, it’s time to set aside your preconceptions and ask yourself, What if God is talking to us all the time? Do you know what he’s saying to you?

From the Front Flap:

“Was the dream I had last night a message from God, or was it just the pizza I had for dinner?”

“Was that last e-mail from my boss God’s way of telling me to find a new job?”

“Was that billboard a sign from God, or was it just a sign?”

Perhaps you’ve never heard God speak.

Maybe you have, but you’re afraid to admit it.

Whatever your situation, the truth is, we all long to hear from God. We want his approval, his comfort, and his divine direction.

God is so much bigger and more amazing than we can possibly comprehend. What if he has more than one way of reaching out to us?

What if God is always trying to talk with us, but while we’re expecting a Morgan Freeman voiceover, he’s communicating through other people, circumstances, or seemingly random occurrences?

In Nine Ways God Always Speaks, Mark Herringshaw and Jennifer Schuchmann use compelling stories from the Bible, history, and ordinary people who have seen God work in their lives to show that God not only wants to communicate with us, but he can and does—often in unexpected and surprising ways.
